Land Acknowledgement

We acknowledge that the land on which the Harris-Kearney House is located, now known as Kansas City, Missouri, is the traditional and ancestral homelands of the Osage  Nation, the Kaw (Kansa) Washtáge Moⁿzháⁿ Nation, Kickapoo Kiikaapoi Tribe, and the Missouri (Missouria) Jíwere–Ñút’achi Máyaⁿ Tribe.

We honor the indigenous peoples who have stewarded this land for generations and continue to do so today. We also recognize the ongoing resilience and strength of Native communities across this region.

This acknowledgment is a small step toward honoring the history, culture, and contributions of the First Peoples of this land.

We're incredibly grateful for our generous donors.
